Provider's Bio

​Merna joins the team at Activ Therapy having completed a degree in Exercise Physiology and Exercise Sport Science from the University of Sydney. 

From a young age, she has been passionate about health and human movement and being sport crazy, pursuing a career in Exercise Physiology seemed a perfect choice. Merna is dedicated to providing nothing short of gold standard service to all clients she meets, ensuring that she fulfils her motto of 'helping people help themselves'. 

Merna provides evidence based and individually tailored exercise programs to all her clients in a motivating and engaging way. As well as this, she strongly believes in the value of educating her clients on their various conditions in order to provide them with the skills to take control of their health and to see outstanding results!

With previous experience in a fast paced private practice environment, Merna brings with her experience and skill in the following areas:

• Type 2 Diabetes 

• Obesity and Weight Loss

• Cardiovascular Disease and associated risk factors

• Osteoporosis and arthritis 

• Parkinson's Disease 

• Intellectual and cognitive disorders 

• General health and well-being 

As well as treating patients with chronic conditions, Merna also has experience in assisting injured workers successfully return to work and activities of their daily lives. 

Merna is an Arabic speaking Exercise Physiologist and is able to provide services for those who require consultations in Arabic.
